Each floodplain has its own character. However, they all have some elements in common. In addition to a main river, there are side arms, ponds and pools. Typical for Aargau floodplains are the close interlocking of energy management, traffic and settlement. The coexistence of nature and civilisation is an image of our time. In this floodplain protection park between Aarau and Wildegg, an important natural and recreational landscape has created.
The first four pictures of the AUEN series were taken in the middle of the floodplain protection park on the Aare in the bypass watercourse and show the unique nature of this floodplain landscape. Analogue photographs in 6x45 film format on slide colour film.
