Oliver Wehrli - Fine Art Photographer
Oliver Wehrli

For over 20 years, the internationally award-winning Swiss landscape photographer Oliver Wehrli has combined photography and nature to create images that speak a silent and mystical yet haunting language. He prefers realistic images that appear natural and subtle and represent landscapes without alterations in order to remind the viewer of the beauty of nature without detours via abstraction.

He mainly uses a large-format analog camera to immerse himself in the deep silence of nature in order to capture a genuine vision of reality - without artificial techniques or embellished side effects. What he sees is captured in its real, abstract, almost inconspicuous form when the light hits the film through the lens and exposes it. His landscape photographs have already won several international awards, including the Special Award Mist & Fog at the International Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2018 for his photograph "rustle of colorful leaves" and the IPA International Photography Award in 2020 for his photograph "Brouillard III".

His sense of aesthetics is evident in his works, which he pursues and realizes down to the last detail. Each of his art paintings is printed on selected fine art paper and produced by hand in Switzerland using high-quality materials. With his extensive experience and further work in marketing, Oliver has a sensitivity that allows him to precisely visualize the ideas and implement them in his works.
